determining a dogs age – the right way

Posted by d33pa on Oct 3, 2011 in Day to Day

Was reading an article on Cesars website:
http://www.cesarsway.com/dogbehavior/health/Dog-Years

The correct way to determine a dogs age is not by multiplying human years by 7, but Subtract two from the age, multiply that by four and add twenty-one.

Thanks Cesar!

Can Amer Freight

Posted by d33pa on Nov 9, 2010 in Day to Day

Just thought I’d throw a shout out to a shipping/receiving company I use in Blaine, Washington. Just a hop skip and a jump to pick up your parcels that you purchased online from ebay, etc. It is so much cheaper to have it shipped within USA then have it shipped across the border. Not to mention if your package gets held up at customs, good luck with that.. this way you have a pretty good chance of driving it back personally. I have never once lied to the border guards, and always get through without any charges -taxes or duties..
the place I use is called:

Can Amer Freight (aka Can Amer Shipping & Receiving)
1927 Boblett St
Blaine, Washington 98230
Phone: 360-332-6525

I put this on my blog as mostly all websites, even yellowpages.com still show their old address on yew st. You should update your records.

iOffer should be called iFraud~!

Posted by d33pa on Dec 2, 2009 in Day to Day

I’d like to share my near loss experience with my blog.
So I was looking for a Coach collar for my new pup and on ebay these are near non-existent. So google got me some results, one of which was from iOffer.com. Looked kind of shady to start, but being the conscious consumer I am, thought i’d play it out, and if I felt confident of this transaction, i’d bite the bullet. It was a $35 risk.
After offering to buy the item, I asked the seller if they had any ebay feedback and I can review as paypal does not guarantee anything outside of ebay. I got a reply back saying that not to worry and she promises to ship the item today with tracking #, and that she is a paypal verified member for the last 7years, and also that paypal guarantees the transaction too. Well, thats all I needed is some assurance from the seller, NOT!
I went to the paypal forums site and low and behold, there are many many articles of fraud within iOffer. Many on yahoo answers as well. Just for shits and giggles, I went to pay the invoice (well not quite), I wanted to see if any info showed about this 7 years experienced seller. Notta! – This account is unable to accept any funds. LOL!! need i say more.

So, the saying still stands, if its too good to be true, it is!
PS. Seller Information
thedepot (7)
cheezyspizza@verizon.net
Chris Ettehadieh
1721 Glen Keith Blvd
Baltimore, MD 21234
also got a reply from guccimom@verizon.net

disclaimer: I have not proven that this may be a fraudulent seller, but all investigation points to this conclusion; thats good enough for me, anything more concrete would be a suckers bet.

Debut of Mats Sundin

Posted by d33pa on Jan 7, 2009 in Day to Day

So, just finished watching the Canucks vs Edmonton game debuting Mats Sundin. I can’t comment on his 15 minutes and 2 seconds of play; but I can certainly tell you I’d love to collect his salary. To put things into perspective, he got paid $121,951.22 for this game and will get the same for the 40 games left. Wow!

OK, Bernier must have been scared for his job, or counting his lucky stars for not getting traded or sent one way to the Moose, should he had cleared waivers. Good job Steve, 2 goals and an assist. Keep it up!

La Barbera, holding his keep. No regulation losses. I bet Sanford’s going to find a new home once Loungo gets back.

What’s up with Janik Hansen demoted to the minors. Bernier should have been that candidate. Now Vinuealt looks like a genius. Gillis’ face is saved…. For now.

Signing out.

Canada wins IIHF Juniors

Posted by d33pa on Jan 5, 2009 in Day to Day

Well, another gold cup for Team Canada!

I really enjoyed watching this tournament. I can’t wait for this young talent make the NHL.

Three guys that really excited me on team Canada was Tavarez, Hodgson and Eberle.

I bet the drafters can’t wait for next season to bring them into play with the big boys.

In my opinion, Canada vs. Sweden was a bit of a yawner. Can you say blow out? The Bronze medal game against Canada vs. Russia was edge of the seat excitement and the goal in the last 5.4 seconds left in the game to tie up the game was priceless.

Good job boys. The V on your hats was well deserved – 5 time champs!
